Lot 1133 3 WWI US LF&C 1917 TRENCH KNIVES.
This grouping consist of three 1917 trench knives. This model was the first service issue US trench knife. They have a blued triangular steel blade with a studded knuckle bow marked "U.S. / L.F.&C. / 1917" and walnut grips. 1) With scabbard. CONDITION: overall good. The blade has some thinning finish and rub marks. The guard and blade have some spotty scattered light oxidation. Grips have numerous dings and handling marks. A period scabbard is in rougher shape with crazing, handling marks, missing its tip and having dark oxidation on the metal surfaces. 2) No scabbard. CONDITION: overall fair-good. There are spots of oxidation and handling marks on the metal surfaces. Grips are good with some dings and handling marks. 3) No scabbard. CONDITION: overall fair-good. Blade has thinning finish and scattered light spots of oxidation. Guard is in similar condition. Good grips with light handling marks. (02-25470/ZAL). NON-GUN. $600-1,000.
